Timmins and District Hospital and its NORrad partner sites in Ontario, Canada have started a yearly group membership with Aprende Canada.
Now 43 sonographers are benefiting from the flexible, affordable and educational SonoWebinars by Aprende Canada.
Northern Radiology (NORrad) is a group of 13 hospitals in northern Ontario that have united to provide high quality care locally to the patients in north eastern Ontario.
There are 43 Ultrasound Technologists in this group. As Continuing Medical Education (CME) is vital and with the difficulties of obtaining these CME’s because of the distance and expense to travel to larger cities, we were always looking for innovative ways to provide good economical CME’s for our Technologists.
We have recently joined Aprende Canada as a group. The process was very easy and simple. The content is very relevant and well presented. These sessions are archived therefore if a Technologist is unable to attend, they can view at a later date and still receive the certificate of participation. This format of teaching is the way of the future especially for remote areas like ours.
Aprende Canada is a great solution for our CME challenges.
