To provide continuing education opportunities to sonographers and sonologists so they gain relevant and required skills to maintain and improve their proficiency level.
Instructional ultrasound videos
After working for 15+ years as a sonographer and sonography instructor in large and small healthcare facilities and 10+ years as an ultrasound professor, both in Toronto, Canada, I realized that there was a need for continuing education for sonographers in areas such as vascular and musculoskeletal ultrasound. I decided then to create Aprende Canada to satisfy that need.
Aprende Canada encompasses both of my passions, ultrasound and education. Therefore, I devote all my sonography and education experience in my training and training products.

I am a registered Canadian diagnostic medical generalist and vascular sonographer with 18+ years of experience in large and small healthcare facilities. My studies include a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, a Bachelor of Adult Education degree, a Nuclear Medicine diploma, an Ultrasound diploma, a certificate on Supplemental Instruction, and a Master degree in Adult Education.
In my 11+ years of experience in adult education, I taught and trained sonography students, radiology residents, radiology fellows, and other health care professionals in a variety of learning environments. In addition, I gained considerable experience in curriculum design and curriculum development, as well as in the creation of simulation training activities and innovative instructional tools, such as the creation of a scrotal ultrasound phantom.
I have presented at Canadian and American conferences presenting different topics in the sonography field. Furthermore, my article on how to create a scrotal phantom (mentioned above) was published in the Canadian Journal of Medical Sonography (CJMS) in 2011. At least one American and two Canadian schools have already implemented this idea as part of their curricula.
Aprende Canada starts a partnership with the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (OAMRS) to build a repertoire of Ultrasound Continuing Education courses on general, vascular and musculoskeletal scanning for distribution Canada wide.
Aprende Canada releases 16 videos (English version) currently offered online.
Aprende Canada starts educational collaboration with the Institute of Osteopathic Science to teach their students on cross-sectional anatomy using ultrasound.
Aprende Canada is appointed the development of an ultrasound program (curriculum development) by Pharma-Medical Science College of Canada.
